1:1 SUPPORT
Sometimes knowing what to work on isn’t enough. Your child may benefit from someone working directly with them to teach, practice, and strengthen those skills. High-Impact Support combines a personalized skill-building plan with hands-on 1:1 sessions focused on your child’s individual learning, behavior, and executive-function needs.
We Work on the Skills Underneath the Struggle
Maybe your child:
Reads slowly or struggles to read smoothly
Has difficulty staying focused during schoolwork
Knows how to do something but rushes and makes mistakes
Needs constant reminders to begin or complete tasks
Becomes frustrated and gives up when something feels difficult
Struggles with organization or homework routines
Has difficulty following multi-step directions
Depends heavily on adults to complete everyday tasks
Instead of simply asking:
“What is your child struggling with?”
We also ask:
“What skills may need strengthening to help them approach this more successfully?”
What Could This Look Like?
Imagine a third grader who struggles with reading fluency.
Rather than simply giving them more reading worksheets, their personalized plan may incorporate reading practice while strengthening:
Attention — staying engaged while reading
Working Memory — holding onto information while continuing through a passage
Pacing & Self-Monitoring — noticing how they’re reading and making adjustments
Frustration Tolerance — continuing when reading becomes challenging
Task Initiation — beginning reading activities with greater independence
Reading becomes an opportunity to teach and practice multiple skills connected to the child’s individual needs.
If concerns suggest a child needs specialized reading intervention or formal evaluation, we encourage families to seek the appropriate professional support.
How It Works
1. Understand
We begin with your concerns, your child’s strengths, and the situations where they’re experiencing difficulty.
2. Personalize
Your child receives an individualized skill-building plan identifying their priority skills, goals, and activities.
3. Practice
I meet with your child in person for hands-on 1:1 sessions using activities, games, movement, academic practice, and real-life challenges.
4. Track
We monitor how your child responds and look for meaningful growth toward their individual goals.
5. Adjust
As your child develops skills, their activities and plan evolve with them.
